Di Matteo played for Chelsea from 1996-2002 and was part of the team that won the FA Cup in 1997 and 2000 and the League Cup and UEFA Cup Winners' Cup in 1998. He was capped 34 times for Italy. As interim manager of Chelsea in 2012 he guided the club to two trophies, winning the FA Cup and the UEFA Champions League.
