Lawrie is pictured holding the Claret Jug after his play-off victory against Jean van de Velde and Justin Leonard at the 1999 Open Championship at Carnoustie. Lawrie came back from the largest third-round deficit ever faced by a winner. Going into the final day he trailed the leader, Van de Velde, by 10 shots.
